James L. Morrison began his career as a lecturer in Sociology at the University of Maryland, European Division. He then became a graduate assistant in sociology at the University of Munich from 1964-65. Later, he was an instructor in Sociology at the Florida State University from 1968-69 and an assistant professor of Education and Sociology at the Pennsylvania State University from 1969-73.
